Dock User Guide


Alert

It displays an important message on the dock-HR Home Page.

How to edit Alert

User can edit an alert directly by clicking on the edit icon.

This will redirect user to the edit form of alert. After changing necessary fields, click on save button.

User can edit the alert through site contents > Alert list > Edit item.

How To add New Alert

1. Click on the settings > select site contents

 

2. Select the list ‘Alert’.

3. User can add a new item by either selecting the ‘New Item’ from ‘Items’ top navigation or by clicking 


This will redirect user to Alert list's new item form, where user can create alert. 

  • Title: text in this field will be displayed as the alert.
  • Description: a description of the alert.
  • Publish at: This shows a date picker field and time picker to represent the time and date to publish the flash news.
  • Unpublish at: as same as the publish at field it shows the unpublish date and time of respective flash news.
  • Tag:user can select a tag from the available tags. 

Click on save button to save the properties of the document or cancel button for discarding

Save the details by clicking on ‘Save’ button or cancel for not saving the item.

  • Category: This field is a drop down list user can select normal and critical category in flash news if user Select Normal the alert will show in green color  and if it is critical then the alert will show in Red color.

How to Delete an Alert

1. Go to Site Contents > Alert list

2. Select the item user wants to delete

3. Click on more option (…) and select delete.

     4. Or select Items from top navigation and click on delete.
